Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) is our new venture studio program, designed to support you to become the founder and CEO of your company.
The program has two stages:
• Shape: once you have selected a business idea (we provide you with dozens of vetted startup opportunities), you will be supported by our team and experts to validate market demand and solution feasibility, and to model your venture, before pitching in front of WeBuild investment committee.
This stage lasts 8 weeks, starting from April 1st, 2024 and candidates are expected to dedicate at least 50% of their time over this period.
• Build: if WeBuild Investment Committee is convinced by your pitch and decides to back your venture, you will become the founder and CEO of the new venture. The focus will shift to implementing your initial ideas into a fledgling enterprise rapidly. The specifics of this phase vary for each startup but generally include developing and launching a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), acquiring initial customers, building strategic partnerships, developing awareness on the market, etc..
The CEOs are expected to dedicate 100% of their time during this second stage.

WeBuild is a startup studio that creates high-growth technology startups to address Swiss next-generation pressing needs. We dramatically increase entrepreneur’s chance of success by providing essential resources like vetted business ideas, capital, expertise, and access to top-tier service partners. This model is designed to reduce risks and align your product with market needs, addressing common causes of startup failures.
WeBuild Ventures was launched in 2022 with the aim of creating 8 startups within 4 years. To date, we have successfully launched 4 of these ventures.
To join the program we expect candidates to demonstrate:
• A warrior mindset, showing enthusiasm, recklessness, independence, and a vision for venture building.
• Persuasive communication skills, leadership qualities, and salesmanship.
• A builder attitude, focusing on solutions, striving for excellence with limited resources, and capable of being a versatile "doer".
• A love for tech and comfort in dealing with digital industry aspects.
WeBuild's main areas of focus are financial services, insurance, real estate, and the energy sector. However, depending on the idea, we can also support and accompany a project in another industry.
The first promotion of Entrepreneurs in Residence must live in Switzerland. Especially as the Bootcamps are face-to-face sessions.
Applicants to WeBuild Entrepreneur In Residence program don't necessarily need to have a specific business idea in mind, although many have various areas of interest or are actively exploring possibilities. We evaluate individuals based on their talent, ambition, and potential as founders, capable of building impactful startups, rather than solely on the quality of their ideas.
For this first promotion of Entrepreneurs In Residence, we cannot accept founders who have already incorporated a company and launched a new product. The aim is to create a company from scratch.
